About

Natasha Blodgett in her studio with Pagoda

Through a unique collaboration between artist and subject, traditional notions of portraiture are reconsidered, and a custom garment is created. Beginning with an intimate conversation, Natasha delves into the personal histories and perspectives unique to her subjects, reimagining them as an intricate procession of illustrations.

Transcribing these drawings on to clothing, portraiture in motion is created. No longer a static moment in time or a hanging artwork on a wall, Natasha’s artworks allow their subjects the opportunity to merge the present moment with a representation of their past.
